GLIMPSES OF GOD AT WORK!!! April 27/2010 We have had so much happen since the last entry. First please pray for Dylan age 9 and Tyler age 18 our grandsons who have Muscular Dystrophy. This is normally a terminal disease, yet the Lord has been so good and faithful to see our family through the hard times. Recently the trial medication which our Dylan has been on for two years was abruptly stopped, and Tyler was in the process of starting it. This came as a severe blow, yet our HOPE is in Jesus not the medication. It had proven to help only 15 of the children out of 165, but Dylan was one of the fifteen and so this abrupt stopping was even more traumatic to the family. I praise the Lord that our son & his wife know the Lord Jesus and lean on Him. Please pray for their emotional & spiritual well being. Pray that the research will continue and the medication which helped Dylan will be allowed to be given to him and others again soon, perhaps yet this year. This is a tall request , but our God is ABLE.

We were in Africa when this all happened and so we came home to be with family for Easter. It is good to comfort and support each other as much as possible.

While in South Africa , we saw how God works such wonders and doesn't always let us in on it. Yet this time He did in several ways. 1. We brought 100 Audio Bibles in ourselves and distributed them to the people that could bring them to Chimoio where they speak SHONA. Some went into Mozambique for the Northern area where 6.5 million live and are mostly Muslims . Then 800 came in by shipment and went into Moz. Zimbabwe also received many Audio Bibles in Shona and English. 2. The Pastor Nhlanhla Sibanda in Zimbabwe, was able to make his way to us in South Africa. This was a God event, because you see Pastor Nhlanhla, really didn't know how to find us, but God did. We did find each other and we were able to have him spend some time with us before we prayed for him and he went back to Zimbabwe, with the Audio Bibles, some written Bibles, clothes, soccer balls and funds to help him with the children in Zimbabwe at his church. 3. Audio Bibles also made it into Tanzania. Last year a young man as he was walking heard an Audio Bible playing and thinking it was a Radio went over to the person playing it. He listened and marveled at what he heard. He asked many questions and asked to borrow it for a time. Since the person knew he could be trusted , it was loaned out to this young man. This young man became a Christian after hearing the Bible and asking the pastor questions. He later asked why there was not a Church in his village( a Muslim village). He was told it couldn't happen. This time however when they asked to build a Church, the chief said YES. As of June 2009 there were 42 believers, and now in Spring 2010 there are upto 60 coming and worshiping, because of ONE Audio Bible in his language! PTL
4. Now we have gotten word that the SABER another Audio Bible device is being carried on the back of a young boy, playing the Words of God and people listening everywhere he walks in Mozambique. These SABERS have a louder speaker and have an internal memory as well as using SD cards. We have sent about 15 of them into Africa so far, along with Bible Story Card sets for the Old & New Testament.
5. Tanzania had gotten the Audio Bible remember last year in 2009, so when more were being distributed at the river on this side in Mozambique, somehow the word got across that they were being given out again. Across the river came many CANOES with men wanting their own Audio Bible. Can you imagine the hunger they have for Truth and crossing hippo & crocodile infested waters? We should have such passion and motivation here in America. Anyway it is exciting to get a glimpse of God at Work.

God gave us a new vision this time while in South Africa and that is to get the Audio Bible to the people in Mozambique who are unreached in many ways, that live in the Delta area of the Zambazi River. There are not roads and supplies and help are flown in by helicopter. We saw pictures and know the pilot with Mercy Air that goes there regularly. Keith wired a new helicopter hangar for the Swiss Mercy Air while we were in South Africa. These people speak SENA, a language that has only part of the Bible translated. We are working on a partnership with the Wycliffe translators and doing the Audio portion of what they do have finished. We would put the trade language of Mozambique on the rest. God makes the connections and He will see this happen. We are presently praying for funds for 1000 more Audio Bibles to bring into Southern Africa region, many to the Delta area. That is why this time we are asking that one American Family not only supply one African family with an Audio Bible , but also the funds to transport them in by helicopter. The Audio Bibles are $40.00, and the transportation costs we are asking for is $10.00. So if you could a total of $50.00 per Audio Bible in their own heart language. Please send checks to Ambassadors of Christ Connecting 3399 142nd Ave. Holland, Mi. 49424 The checks can have AFCC instead of the full name.
PS: one last thing I forgot to mention many are being baptized now when they truly hear the Bible in their own language. The Holy Spirit is teaching them and directing them to do this. PTL
